Penguins to Stay Put

1) As we here at FAUXRUMORS told all our readers back in December when the arena deal fell through the Penguins will NOT be going anywhere. http://fauxrumors.blogspot.com/2006/12/no-deal-in-pittsburgh.html

2) In our original piece we were told by our Pittsburgh sources that the deal would be in place before the playoffs. However with the number of out side cities beginning to line up for the Penguins, and a deadline fast approaching state officials finally got off their collective asses and decided this needed to get done NOW

3) Our sources tell us the overall good play of the team, and ofcourse having one of the best young players to break into the NHL in many a year, "significantly helped" get this deal done. The details of the plan are probably going to be released later today or tomorrow. Congrats Pens fans!
